I like the Tarja era but it never got me deep into Nightwish. Neither did the Anette era, but when Floor joined - I was hooked and now I'm a fanatic. In my opinion Floor has made almost all songs better in my taste. There are still some of the old Tarja songs where I prefer Tarja over Floor, even though Floor does them complete justice when performed live.

Oh, you've said and painted such a beautiful picture of Lara and truly has earned it and deserves all of this kind of credit. I totally agree too that her music she brings to the table the complete connection between technique and expression. Again, like in "Adagio", but even more so with this song, Lara's facial expression both before and at the end of the song is that she's utterly and wholesome engrossed and one with the story. She sheer emotion displayed vocally and physically throughout the song cannot be mistaken for anything less than real. It's also a very beautiful song allowing for much expression, however, the solo artist is the one who can make/enhance or break these expressions. In this song, Lara, the very rare professional artist who she is, makes all the difference. As you yourself refers to her technical vocal ability to do things, that forms a great part of her performance. Also, to bring to your attention...that she was already into the song before even uttering the first word of the song. So, too, at the end it took a moment for her to recover from the happenings in the song. my connection to this song is only the similarity of struggle,, i'm undiagnosed autistic and have struggled with being a bit weird my whole life i had to start my own business because i had problems holding a job with sleep disorders and high ethics.. but managed to stay in business the last 40 years without needing to advertise or even carry a card, i run a lawn and tree service and do all phases of construction and kind of an inventor on the side after six years of development i figured out a disaster response product that could help millions worldwide .. then my insurance agent forgot to post a payment back in 2020 and the state took everything i worked the last 40 years for away .. stuck at home like a prisoner i came online and saw people helping others so i started making videos explaining hat i was. trying to do to get help and found out if the platform your uploading to doesn't promote you your just talking to your phone, and then i see stuff like this and get jealous because i will never write a song that gets peoples attn like this. so my chances are fading. and it's scary as hell to think of all that could be, but it may all be lost because one person forgot to hit enter on there keyboard..
